Strap yourself in for the best Sega game ever!!

Welcome to a FULL playthrough of Sega's greatest game and indeed possibly the best game ever made, a timeless classic from the Dreamcast, Shenmue.

The game starts with the lead character, Ryo Hazuki, running home on his 18th birthday to find it's been attacked. Heading to the family dojo he finds 2 men in black suits and a mysterious man known as Lan Di fighting with his father over a dragon mirror.

After witnessing Lan Di murder his father, Iwao Hazuki, Ryo is determined to seek revenge and discover more about the dragon mirror and why Lan Di killed him. The only thing he has to go on is a few details about Lan Di, the 2 men in black suits and a black car that was outside of his house that day.

Along the way today we'll help feed an orphaned kitten, help an elderly lady and get some information on the black car from Yamagashi-San, our love interest Nozomi, and Tom at the hotdog stand.

Get ready for some odd compliments from strange men as we're back playing the best Sega game ever!!

Welcome to a FULL playthrough of Sega's greatest game and indeed possibly the best game ever made, a timeless classic from the Dreamcast, Shenmue.

Last time we found out about a biker called Charlie who is mixed up with the cartel down at the harbor so today we're gonna need to hunt him down. Our first lead is to head down to the jacket shop, then we check out Nagai Industries and find out he hangs around Dobuita at night.

We have a few periods of time to kill today so I get a chance to show off the You Arcade where we win the darts top prize, the capsule toys, the local convenience store and training in the Dobuita car park. I'm convinced I might be close to the Shenmue Darts world record today cos I absolutely killed it!!

While roaming the streets of Dobuita at night, we bump into the guy we fight at Heartbeats and he says he can take us to meet Charlie but things don't quite go to plan and we get our first free battle but it gives us the idea to check out the local tattoo parlor.

We pop back to the tattoo parlor again the next day hoping to bump into Charlie and he agrees to introduce us to the cartel at 3pm the next day. Outside the tattoo parlor we bump into Nozomi and it starts to become more clear that we are starting to ditch school and entire focus is now finding our father's murderer.

Just before heading off to bed for the night, we have a little chat and spar with Fuku-San but Ine-San overhears our conversation and shows us a mysterious letter in Chinese that was sent to our father just after he died.

Ryo is left asking 'what kinda scam is this?' as things go a bit wrong planning a trip abroad in the best Sega game ever!!

Welcome to a FULL playthrough of Sega's greatest game and indeed possibly the best game ever made, a timeless classic from the Dreamcast, Shenmue.

Now that we have the Phoenix Mirror we have to take it to Master Chen and see what he can tell us. Before we go straight back to the harbor we are gonna show visit Yamagashi-San, Bunkado Antiques and the Russiya China Shop to get a learn more about the history of the Phoenix Mirror.

Once we learn all the background info we can we head off to warehouse number 8 to visit Master Chen again. He tells us more about the mirrors, explaining that the 2 mirrors combined could bring about the end of the world. Just as we are discussing it, Chair, the spy from the rooftops, swoops down to steal the mirror from us to give to Lan Di. Thankfully we manage to snatch it back before he escapes!

Master Chen tells us Lan Di has likely already left for Hong Kong and so our journey begins to try to find a way to follow him. We were gonna ask Ine-San to loan us some money to pay for the trip but Fuku-San blows our cover and ruins it for us.

A visit to the Global Travel Agency tells us that a flight to Hong Kong is WAY out of our price range. Fuku-San empties his piggy bank for us which doubles our funds but we're still no where near to being able to afford it.

Thankfully Nozomi has a plan, her grandmother always travels by boat which is a lot cheaper. The Global Travel Agency don't sell boat tickets but they give me the worst directions ever to a dodgy travel agency round the corner, where we'll experience the worst customer service ever!!

We pay for our ticket and get told to collect it 4 hours later but when we come back, the lady is gone and no one knows what I'm talking about...

No wonder I couldn't read the letter to my father, it's Chinese in Reverse!!

Welcome to a FULL playthrough of Sega's greatest game and indeed possibly the best game ever made, a timeless classic from the Dreamcast, Shenmue.

After roughing up Charlie in that tattoo parlor last time, we've agreed to meet him at 3pm today where he's gonna arrange a meeting for us with the cartel. At home Fuku-San questions us about the letter in Chinese that came for our father.

On the way to Dobuita we help a little boy who's had his ball taken off him by Charlie and his gang. After beating them up and kicking a ball in Charlie's face it's off to Dobuita to see if anyone can translate the letter for us, but before we start that hunt we head to Bunkado Antiques and buy all the move scrolls we can. Tao-San at the Ajiichi restaurant, suggests I speak to his delivery boy who sends us to the Russiya China Shop to help translate my letter.

Once translated, the letter leads us to contact someone called Master Chen. All we have is a phone number so we give it a call and find out it's for a warehouse number 8, but where's that? After checking the area code in the phone book we find out it's in the Amihama area. A quick chat with Tom at the hotdog stand reveals that it's down at the docks and we're gonna have to catch a bus to get down there.
